How do I log my attendance using the »ÆÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Mobile app?

How do I log my attendance for the session?

  1. Open the »ÆÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Mobile app and log in, selecting the Student profile if you are asked.
  2. Tap the Student Check in tile (which should say Check in now when you are able to check in to your teaching session)
  3. Select the teaching session which is in progress.
  4. Your tutor will share the 6 character PIN (all letters) to allow you to check in.
  5. If you do not already have it set, the app may ask you to share your location. We do not record your location, and the University does not track your location (it helps us to verify that the PIN has been entered in the teaching room).
  6. You will be able to enter the PIN to check in from the time your tutor shares the PIN to the end of your teaching session.
Select Check in, enter the PIN, submit and it should confirm you have checked in.
Please speak to the teaching staff if you have trouble checking in so they can record your attendance manually.

I have been unable to check in to my current teaching session – what should I do?

  • Please let your tutor know and they will be able to record your attendance manually. Otherwise you can contact your Faculty office if you have any concerns that your attendance has not been captured.

I can’t see my expected teaching session - what should I do?

  • Contact your Faculty office who will be able to check which modules you are registered on.
  • If you are a tutor as well as a student, ensure that you are in the Student profile to record your attendance.

I do not want to share my location - what should I do?

  • The University does not track students' location, and will not store any individual's precise location. The location is only used to verify you are in the vicinity of the teaching room at the time you check in to that teaching session. If you chose not to share your location while using the app there may be some additional checks made to verify your attendance during the academic year.
