The workshop was intellectually productive and deeply engaging, setting out the different legacies of empire within Europe and their significance for constructions of nationalism and minority rights.

Dr Rahul Govind from Delhi University and Marketa Krizova from Charles University, Prague, also delivered presentations, with Professor Krizova ending the event by leading a '(de)colonial' walk through Prague.

“The workshop was both intellectually productive and deeply engaging with papers setting out the different legacies of empire within Europe and their significance for constructions of nationalism and minority rights – truly pressing issues in the present.
It was a pleasure to spend two days with colleagues discussing these themes as well as being made aware of the deep entanglements of the city with various colonial histories in the walk led by Professor Krizova.”
