My interests revolve around how technology is impacting on social relationships in the work place. Whilst technology has made it possible to enable communities and networks to interact remotely, truly effective knowledge creation and knowledge sharing is not just about access to the most advanced technology, but also about the ability to construct shared dialogues, identities, stories and jargons that underpin new practices and at the same time work around cultural and language differences.

These factors are made more challenging when the community operates in the virtual space with social interaction mediated through technology, face-to-screen as opposed to face-to face and distanciated communication.

I am particularly interested in the development of communities, teams and project teams across virtual spaces as well as how virtual working in organisations affects the way in which people communicate, co-operate and support each other, maintain productive relationships and resolve conflicts effectively both within their own communities, and with other communities.
