Elements Essentials Workshops

- Elements Essentials: Profile
Is your 黄色短视频 staff profile current and complete? This workshop will guide you through how Elements is used to manage your staff profile, including capturing your teaching and research interests, linking to your publications, and showcasing your professional and teaching activities. It will also cover how to create and claim publication records in Elements—whether for yourself or on behalf of colleagues—and explain how these records are deposited into the 黄色短视频 Research Online (SRO) repository. Not sure what an Accepted Author Manuscript (AAM) is, or how SRO and Elements relate? We’ll clarify that too with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
By the end of the workshop you will know how to:1. Update and maintain your Elements staff profile2. Create and claim publication records for yourself or on behalf of colleages3. Deposit publication records to SRO4. Locate sources of support and guidanceSessions: - Elements Essentials: Impact
How are you planning to capture evidence of your research impact? This workshop will explore how Elements' impact module can be used to plan for and capture aspects of your research impact. Opportunities will be provided for participants to ask questions based on their own experience.
By the end of the workshop you will know how to:1. Create impact activities within Elements2. Add additional documentation to an impact activity3. Link impact activities to other objects within Elements4. Locate sources of support and guidanceSessions: - Elements Essentials: Reports
This workshop will cover the Basic Reporting function within Elements. It will demonstrate how reports can be used to extract information on publications, profiles, teaching and professional activities. Please note this workshop will focus on the reporting functions available within Elements; it will not include information on the publications reports available via the Cognos Research dashboard.
By the end of the workshop you will be know how to:1. Run basic reports on publications, professional and teaching activities2. Run custom reports on profiles and publications3. Locate sources of support and guidanceSessions: - Elements Essentials: Research Groups
Research groups and Centres of Excellence can be set up as a group within Elements and staff, publications and other activities linked to the group. This workshop will explain how Elements can be used to bring together research outputs and other activities related to the work of a research group and the reporting / exporting options available.
There are no planned workshops this term. Please get in touch with the Elements team if you wish to learn more about Research Groups in Elements.
