You’ll need to decide which programme you’d like to join and whether you want to attend one or both sessions.

Choose your modules
For the Undergraduate Summer School, you must select three credit-bearing modules in order of preference. Browse our undergraduate summer school modules.

Check our entry requirements
You must be academically qualified to take the modules you apply for. You should be currently studying in higher education, a university graduate or due to begin study in September 2026.
You must have:
- a GPA of 2.8 or higher (out of 4) or equivalent
- an IELTS level certificate of 6.0 or equivalent.

English language classes
to improve your English, organised by the Department for Language Studies. You can undertake this either before or after your Summer School studies. Courses last for between one to ten weeks across June, July and August.

View your accommodation
You’ll live in on-campus residence on an environmentally award-winning campus. Our rooms are single occupancy with a mix of ensuite bedrooms and bedrooms with a shared bathroom.
All rooms are self-catered with a shared kitchen and common room. -
Prepare your application documents
You need to have:
- evidence showing that you meet our academic entry requirements
- evidence of suitable English language qualifications, if English is not your first language.
Please ensure that you upload all necessary documents with your application form, as we may not be able to process your application without them.

Applications for our 2026 Summer School programme will open in October 2025.
If you’re applying through a partner institution, we’ll contact your home university’s study abroad office, as your application can only be processed once they approve your participation. By submitting an application you are confirming that the information given in the application is correct and completed and that you understand that the University reserves the right to withdraw registration if this is not the case; that you understand that entry to the University is selective and that completion of the application form does not guarantee entry. You also confirm understanding that your personal data will be processed by the University in accordance with Data Protection legislation and the University’s Data Protection Policy, and that personal data may be processed and shared for the purposes set out in clause 12 of our terms and conditions.

Receive your offer letter
If your application is successful, you’ll receive an offer to join the programme , which you can accept online. To secure your place, you’ll need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £250 within four weeks of receiving your offer. Once this is done, we’ll send you your official offer letter.
Your offer letter includes your candidate number and is an essential document for entering the UK. Please also keep it with you if you plan to travel outside the UK during your studies at 黄色短视频.
In May, when Pre-Enrolment begins, you’ll also receive confirmation of your module allocations.

Apply for a visa
You may need a visa to study in the UK, and you must have the most up-to-date information when you plan your trip. Find out to study in the UK.

Registration (Pre-enrolment)
From May 2026, you will need to begin the pre-enrolment registration process to confirm your details and pay the remainder of your fees.
You will receive further details of pre-enrolment registration closer to the summer.
To enable the University to discharge its safeguarding obligations to all members of our community, the registration process when you join 黄色短视频 is subject to a satisfactory criminal convictions disclosure. As part of registration, we ask all new students to declare whether they have a relevant unspent conviction. . If you would need to answer ‘yes’ to these questions, you must contact us immediately (and certainly before making a visa application) so our Criminal Convictions Panel can evaluate your case.

Enrolment
Your enrolment is complete when you arrive on campus and have your passport scanned to check your visa details.
You will receive further details of our enrolment closer to the summer.
By submitting an application and paying fees, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. These cover application, payment terms, cancellations, and non-attendance.

Check our entry requirements
You must have:
- completed one year of study at your home institution, unless you are applying for our 'gap' semester programme in which case you must have completed senior secondary (high) school.
- a current GPA of 2.8 or higher (out of 4) or equivalent, unless you are applying for our 'gap' semester of year programme in which case you must be in good academic standing.
- acceptable evidence of meeting our English language requirements.

Check fees and funding
Visiting (non-exchange) students are required to pay tuition fees. Check our fees before submitting your application to 黄色短视频.
Exchange students do not normally pay tuition fees. -
Your accommodation
We will send you instructions on how to apply for accommodation after you are accepted to study with us.

Prepare your application documents
You must submit the following with your application:
- Official transcript from your home institution (it must be in English)
- English language qualifications, if English is not your first language
- Copy of your valid Passport
- Reference from your academic advisor – this is a required for visiting (non-exchange) students from non-partner institutions only
Please ensure that you include all the necessary documents with your application, as we may not be able to process your application without them.

Complete the application form
The deadline to apply for Autumn and Full Year entry is 1 April.
The deadline to apply for Spring entry is 15 October.

Completed applications must be sent to inbound.sussexabroad@sussex.ac.uk together with supporting documents.
Exchange students can apply to the programme through their home university.

Receive your offer letter
If your application is successful, you will receive an offer letter.
You must accept to study with us and agree to our Terms and Conditions. The offer letter will explain how to accept your place.
Keep your letter safe as it is your official confirmation of being accepted to study with us. You will need it when you enter the UK. You will also need to have it with you if you intend to travel outside of the UK while you are studying at 黄色短视频.

Registration
About a month before the commencement of the semester you will receive an email containing your candidate number and instructions on how to complete Online Registration. This will include checking personal details, informing us of your next of kin, paying your fees, providing your visa, confirming your term-time address and providing a photo for your student ID card.
Registration is important because it means you are officially a 黄色短视频 student.

Module enrolment
You will be automatically enrolled on your chosen modules. You do not have to do anything at this point.
We want you to get you on your chosen modules but may have to ask for alternatives if there are timetable clashes or if the classes are full.
About a month before the commencement of the semester you will receive an e-mail from your School of Study Coordinator confirming your modules. Sometimes, modules are confirmed right before the academic term starting so do not worry if you cannot see them in your timetable.
Visas and immigration
You may need a visa to study in the UK, and you must have the most up-to-date information when you plan your trip to the UK.
